3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And Noah had certainly called Us, and [We are] the best of responders. 75 We saved him and his people from great distress, 76 and We made his seed the survivors, 77 And left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations to come in later times: 78 Peace be with Noah among all men in the worlds. 79 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 80 For he was one of our believing Servants. 81 Then We drowned the disbelievers. 82 ۞ And lo! of his persuasion verily was Abraham 83 when he turned to his Sustainer with a heart free of evil, 84 "Behold!" he said to his father and to his people, "What are these that you worship? 85 Do you want to worship false idols as your lords besides God? 86 What then is your opinion of the Lord of the Worlds? 87 And he glanced a glance at the stars 88 And he said: verily I am about to be sick. 89 But they turned their backs on him and went away. 90 Then turned he to their gods and said: Will ye not eat? 91 What is the matter with you, why do you not speak?” 92 And he turned upon them striking them with the right hand. 93 Then came (the worshippers) with hurried steps, and faced (him). 94 "Why do you worship these you carve yourselves," he asked, 95 "While Allah has created you and what you make!" 96 They said, “Construct a building (furnace) for him, and then cast him in the blazing fire!” 97 So they tried to execute their evil scheme upon him We therefore degraded them. (Allah saved him, by commanding the fire to turn cool). 98 And he said: Surely I fly to my lord; He will guide me. 99 My Lord, grant me a righteous (son)' 100 So We gave him the good news of a boy, possessing forbearance. 101 And when he reached with him [the age of] exertion, he said, "O my son, indeed I have seen in a dream that I [must] sacrifice you, so see what you think." He said, "O my father, do as you are commanded. You will find me, if Allah wills, of the steadfast." 102 When they both agreed and Abraham had lain down his son on the side of his face (for slaughtering), 103 We called out to him: "O Abraham, 104 you have fulfilled the dream." It is thus indeed that We reward those who do good, 105 for, behold, all this was indeed a trial, clear in itself. 106 And We ransomed him with a momentous sacrifice: 107 And We left for him among the posterity: 108 "Peace upon Abraham." 109 Thus, do We reward the righteous ones. 110 He was one of Our believing worshipers. 111 And We gave him good tidings of Isaac, a prophet from among the righteous. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. But among their descendants is the doer of good and the clearly unjust to himself. 113
