The Town (Al-Balad)
20 verses, revealed in Mecca after Q (Qaaf) before The Comet (Al-Taareq)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ I swear by yonder city 1 And thou art a freeman of this City;- 2 And the parent and the offspring, 3 That We created man in toil and trouble. 4 Does He think that no one will ever have control over him? 5 He says, “I destroyed vast wealth.” 6 Deemest he that none beholdeth him? 7 Have We not made for him a pair of eyes?- 8 a tongue, and two lips, 9 And have shown him the two ways? 10 Yet, he has not entered into Aqaba 11 And what will explain to thee the path that is steep?- 12 [It is] the freeing of one's neck [from the burden of sin,] 13 or giving food on a day of hunger 14 of an orphan near of kin, 15 Or to a Miskin (poor) afflicted with misery. 16 And moreover to be of those who accepted faith, and who urged patience to one another and who urged graciousness to one another. 17 Those who do so are the people of the right hand, 18 But those who disbelieve in Our verses, they are the Companions of the Left, 19 Over them shall be Fire closing round. 20
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
