۞ (Then will the command be given): “Muster all the wrong-doers and their spouses and the deities whom they used to serve 22 "Besides Allah, and lead them to the Way to the (Fierce) Fire! 23 And detain them, for they will be questioned." 24 What aileth you that ye help not one another? 25 Nay, but that day they shall submit (to Judgment); 26 And some of them inclined towards others, mutually questioning. 27 They said, “It is you who used to come to us from our right, in order to sway.” 28 The oppressors will say, "Rather, you [yourselves] were not believers, 29 "And we had no authority over you. Nay! But you were transgressing people (disobedient, polytheists, and disbelievers). 30 But now our Lord's word has come true against us: truly, we are bound to taste [the punishment]. 31 Thus we misled you. Lo! we were (ourselves) astray. 32 On that day they will all share the torment. 33 Even so We do with the sinners; 34 They were the ones, who on being told, "God is only One," become puffed-up with pride 35 and said, "Should we give up our idols for the sake of an insane poet". 36 Nay! he (Muhammad SAW) has come with the truth (i.e. Allah's Religion - Islamic Monotheism and this Quran) and he confirms the Messengers (before him who brought Allah's religion - Islamic Monotheism). 37 “You surely have to taste the painful punishment.” 38 Ye are requited naught save what ye did - 39 But Allah's chosen servants (shall be spared this woeful end). 40 shall have a known provision -- 41 Fruits of every kind, and they will be honoured 42 In Gardens of Delight. 43 On thrones facing one another. 44 A cup will be passed round among them [with a drink] from unsullied springs, 45 White and delicious to the drinkers; 46 no headiness will be in it, and they will not get drunk thereon. 47 And with them are those of modest gaze, with lovely eyes, 48 who are as chaste as sheltered eggs. 49 Then they will advance unto each other, mutually questioning. 50 The speaker among them said, “I had a companion.” – 51 Who would say, 'Are you indeed of those who believe 52 What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we indeed be requited?" 53 (The man) said: "Will you look down?" 54 Then, he will look and see him in the midst of Hell. 55 He will say to him: -- By Allah, you almost ruined me. 56 And had it not been for the favour of my Lord, I too had been of those haled forth (to doom). 57 Then he will say [to his blessed companions], "Are we not going to die, 58 and that we would not be punished?" 59 This will indeed be great happiness. 60 For the like of this, then, let the workers work. 61 Is that (Paradise) better entertainment or the tree of Zaqqum (a horrible tree in Hell)? 62 Lo! We have appointed it a torment for wrong-doers. 63 It is a tree that grows at the bottom of Hell. 64 The shoots of its fruit-stalks are like the heads of devils: 65 and they eat of it, and of it fill their bellies, 66 Then on top of it they will have a brew of boiling water. 67 Then most surely their return shall be to hell. 68 They found their fathers erring, 69 So they (too) were rushed down on their footsteps! 70 yet before them most of the ancients went astray, 71 We had certainly sent warners to them. 72 Observe, then, what was the end of those that had been warned, 73 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 74
