The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
22 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Sun (Al-Shams) before The Fig (Al-Teen)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heaven, holding mansions of the stars, 1 And by the Day promised, 2 And by the witness and that whereunto he beareth testimony, 3 Cursed be the makers of the pit, 4 Fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel: 5 When they sat by it, 6 and they were witnesses of what they did to the believers 7 And they ill-treated them for no other reason than that they believed in Allah, Exalted in Power, Worthy of all Praise!- 8 to whom belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth. God is witness over all things. 9 Surely those who tormented the believing men and the believing women and then did not repent, theirs shall be the chastisement of Hell, and theirs shall be the chastisement of burning. 10 But those who believe and do good deeds shall be rewarded with gardens watered by flowing rivers. That is the supreme triumph. 11 Surely thy Lord's assault is terrible. 12 It is He Who creates from the very beginning, and He can restore (life). 13 He is the forgiving and the loving, 14 Lord of the Throne of Glory, 15 Performer of what He desires. 16 Hast thou received the story of the hosts, 17 Of Pharaoh and Thamud come to you? 18 Nay! The disbelievers (persisted) in denying (Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) and his Message of Islamic Monotheism). 19 And Allah, all unseen, surroundeth them. 20 In fact it (what they deny) is the Noble Qur’an. 21 that exists in a well-guarded tablet. 22
True are the words of God the Almighty.
