The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
I swear by the night when it draws a veil, 1 By the day when it appeareth in glory, 2 And by Who created the male and female, 3 Indeed, your efforts are diverse. 4 Then as for him who giveths and feareth Him. 5 and believes in the truth of the ultimate good 6 We will ease him toward ease. 7 And as for him who is niggardly and considers himself free from need (of Allah), 8 And gives the lie to the best,- 9 We shall facilitate the path to affliction 10 and their wealth will be of no benefit to them when they face destruction. 11 Lo! Ours it is (to give) the guidance 12 And most surely Ours is the hereafter and the former. 13 So I have warned you of a Fire which is blazing. 14 None shall enter it save the most wretched, 15 Who gives the lie (to the truth) and turns (his) back. 16 But save him who fears 17 Who gives his wealth in order to be pure. 18 not as payment for any favours that he received, 19 but only out of a longing for the countenance of his Sustainer, the All-Highest: 20 and before long he will be well satisfied. 21
Almighty God's Truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
