Truly it is the revelation of the Lord of all Being, 192 The Faithful Spirit has descended with it, 193 upon thy heart, [O Muhammad] so that thou mayest be among those who preach 194 In plain Arabic language. 195 And verily, it (the Quran, and its revelation to Prophet Muhammad SAW) is (announced) in the Scriptures [i.e. the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)] of former people. 196 Is it not evidence enough for them that the learned among the Children of Israel have recognized this [as true]? 197 And even if We had revealed it to one among the foreigners 198 And he had read it unto them, they would not have believed in it. 199 Thus do We cause (unbelief) to enter the hearts of sinners. 200 They will not believe in it to the extent that they see the painful punishment. 201 It shall come to them of a sudden, while they perceive it not; 202 they say: "Can we be granted some respite?" 203 What! do they still seek to hasten on Our punishment? 204 But hast thou ever considered [this]: If We do allow them to enjoy [this life] for some years, 205 Yet there comes to them at length the (Punishment) which they were promised! 206 So of what benefit will be the comforts that they were using? 207 Never have We destroyed a habitation till We had sent admonishers to them 208 By way of reminder; and We never are unjust. 209 And the devils have not brought the revelation down. 210 And it behoves them not, and they have not the power to do (it). 211 Most surely they are far removed from the hearing of it. 212 So call not thou unto another god along with Allah, lest thou be of the doomed. 213 and warn your nearest kinsmen; 214 And lower your wing to those who follow you of the believers. 215 Then if they disobey you, say: "I am innocent of what you do." 216 And rely on the Mighty, the Merciful, 217 Who watches you when you get up, 218 And your movements among those who bow in homage to God. 219 Surely, He is the Hearer, the Knower. 220 [And] shall I tell you upon whom it is that those evil spirits descend? 221 They descend on every lying, wicked person, 222 Who gives ear (to the devils and they pour what they may have heard of the unseen from the angels), and most of them are liars. 223 And the poets - [only] the deviators follow them; 224 Did you not see that they keep wandering in every valley? 225 And that they say that which they do not do, 226 Except those who believe and do the right, and remember God a great deal, who retaliate only when they have been wronged. Yet the oppressors will now come to know through what reversals they will be overthrown! 227
True are the words of God the Almighty.
