He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ He frowned and turned away 1 Because a blind man came to him. 2 And what could let you know? Perhaps he (comes to hear you) to be purified. 3 or take heed and derive benefit from [Our] warning? 4 As for him who is not in want of any thing, 5 Unto him thou attendest. 6 And no blame is on you if he would not purify himself 7 But as for him who cometh unto thee with earnest purpose 8 And he feareth 9 You neglect. 10 NAY, VERILY, these [messages] are but a reminder: 11 so let those who want to follow its guidance do so. 12 It is contained in scrolls highly honoured, 13 uplifted, purified, 14 In the hands of scribes 15 Honourable and Pious and Just. 16 [But only too often] man destroys himself: how stubbornly does he deny the truth! 17 Of what thing did He create him? 18 He created him from a living germ. He determined his fate 19 and then made the course of life easy for him, 20 Then He causes him to die, then assigns to him a grave, 21 Then, when it is His Will, He will raise him up (again). 22 By no means hath he fulfilled what Allah hath commanded him. 23 Then let man look to his food, 24 how We pour down rain in abundance, 25 Then split the earth in clefts 26 Then We cause therein the grain to grow, 27 And grapes and fodder, 28 And olives and date palms, 29 And dense gardens, 30 And fruits and fodder: 31 A provision for you and for your cattle. 32 But when the deafening blast is sounded, 33 Man will fly from his brother, 34 And from his mother and his father, 35 And from his wife and sons. 36 on that Day each will be occupied with his own business, making him oblivious of all save himself. 37 on that Day some faces will be beaming, 38 Laughing, rejoicing. 39 but others will be gloomy 40 Veiled in darkness, 41 Those are the disbelievers, the wicked. 42
Almighty Allah's Truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
