Al-Infitaar

Shattering (Al-Infitaar)

19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

۞ When the heaven splits open. 1 And the stars dispersed, 2 And when the seas are flowed out, 3 and when the graves are overturned 4 Each soul shall know that which it sent afore and that which it left behind. 5 O man! What is it that lures you away from your bountiful Sustainer, 6 who created you, fashioned you and proportioned you, 7 and set you in whatever form He pleased? 8 Nay! but you give the lie to the judgment day, 9 Yet over you there are watchers, 10 Kind and honourable,- Writing down (your deeds): 11 who know whatever you do. 12 Lo! the righteous verily will be in delight. 13 and the evil-doers will be in hell 14 [a fire] which they shall enter on Judgment Day, 15 and from which they will find no escape. 16 How can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 17 Again, what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 18 The day on which no soul shall control anything for (another) soul; and the command on that day shall be entirely Allah's. 19

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
