▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ Then I swear by the setting of the stars, 75 And lo! that verily is a tremendous oath, if ye but knew - 76 That this is indeed the glorious Qur'an 77 in a well-guarded preserved Book, 78 Which (that Book with Allah) none can touch but the purified (i.e. the angels). 79 A revelation by the Lord of the worlds. 80 Then why do you dissimulate this Revelation? 81 And make denial thereof your livelihood? 82 Then why do you not (intervene) when (the soul of a dying person) reaches the throat? 83 And ye the while (sit) looking on,- 84 – at that moment when We are closer to him than you, although you do not see (Us) 85 if you are not subject to anyone's authority, 86 Cause ye it not to return, if ye say sooth? 87 Then if he be of the broughtnigh. 88 Then [for him is] rest and bounty and a garden of pleasure. 89 And if he is one of the People on the Right, 90 (he will be greeted with): 'Peace be upon you, Companion of the Right' 91 And if he be of those who treat (Truth) as Falsehood, who go wrong, 92 Then [for him is] accommodation of scalding water 93 And burning in Hell-fire. 94 Verily, this! This is an absolute Truth with certainty. 95 So celebrate with praises the name of thy Lord, the Supreme. 96
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
