The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the heavens and that which comes in the night -- 1 And have you understood what the nightly arriver is? 2 (It is) the piercing star. 3 There is no soul but that it has over it a protector. 4 Now let man but think from what he is created! 5 He was created of a gushing fluid, 6 Emerging from between the backbone and the ribs. 7 Surely He (the Creator) has the power to bring him back (to life). 8 A day when the secrets will be examined. 9 (Man) will have no power, and no helper. 10 By the rotating heavens 11 And the earth which splitteth (with the growth of trees and plants) 12 It is surely a decisive utterance; 13 And it is not a thing for amusement. 14 They are devising guile, 15 and I too am devising a guile. 16 Therefore grant a delay to the Unbelievers: Give respite to them gently (for awhile). 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
