Certainly We sent Nuh to his people, so he said: O my people! serve Allah, you have no god other than Him; surely I fear for you the chastisement of a grievous day. 59 The chieftains of his people said: Lo! we see thee surely in plain error. 60 (Noah) said, "My people, I am not in any error, rather I am a Messenger from the Lord of the Universe, 61 “Conveying to you the messages of my Lord and wishing good for you, and I know from Allah what you do not know.” 62 Then do you wonder that there has come to you a reminder from your Lord through a man from among you, that he may warn you and that you may fear Allah so you might receive mercy." 63 They accused him of telling lies. So We saved him and his companions in an ark and drowned those who called Our revelations mere lies. They were, no doubt, a blind people. 64
