Exalted is He who put constellations in the heavens, a radiant lamp and an illuminating moon -- 61 And He it is Who made the night and the day to follow each other for him who desires to be mindful or desires to be thankful. 62 (Among) the servants of the Beneficent God are those who walk gently on the earth and when addressed by the ignorant ones, their only response is, "Peace be with you." 63 and those who spend the night prostrating themselves, and standing before their Lord, 64 who say, 'Our Lord, turn Thou from us the chastisement of Gehenna; surely its chastisement is torment most terrible; 65 Indeed it is a most wretched abode. 66 And [they are] those who, when they spend, do so not excessively or sparingly but are ever, between that, [justly] moderate 67 who do not worship idols besides God, nor without a just cause murder a soul to whom God has granted amnesty, who do not commit fornication, for those who do so have committed a sin 68 [but] shall have his suffering doubled on Resurrection Day: for on that [Day] he shall abide in ignominy. 69 Except him who repents and believes and does a good deed; so these are they of whom Allah changes the evil deeds to good ones; and Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. 70 And whoever repents and does good deeds – so he has inclined towards Allah with repentance as was required. 71 And those who will not witness vanity, but when they pass near senseless play, pass by with dignity. 72 And those who, when they are reminded of the revelations of their Lord, fall not deaf and blind thereat. 73 And those who pray, "Our Lord! Grant unto us wives and offspring who will be the comfort of our eyes, and give us (the grace) to lead the righteous." 74 These are the ones who will be rewarded with lofty mansions in Paradise, for their steadfastness. They will be received therein with greetings of welcome and salutations of peace. 75 and wherein they will live for ever: what an excellent abode and what an excellent resting place! 76 Say: 'My Lord cares little for you if it was not for your supplication, indeed you have belied (the Messenger and the Koran) so it (the punishment) will be fastened' 77
