Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
O THOU human being! 1 By the Qur'an full of wisdom. 2 Indeed you, [O Muhammad], are from among the messengers, 3 upon the straight path. 4 This is a revelation of the Mighty, the Merciful. 5 That you may warn a people whose ancestors had never been warned, who are therefore heedless. 6 Assuredly the word hath been justified against most of them, wherefore they shall not believe. 7 We have put yokes round their necks right up to their chins, so that they cannot bow their heads 8 We have set-up a barrier in front of and behind them and have made them blind. Thus, they cannot see. 9 And it is alike unto them, whether thou warnest them or warnest them not; they shall not believe. 10 You can warn only those who would follow the Reminder and fear the Gracious God, unseen. Give them the good news of forgiveness and a noble reward. 11 Verily, We give life to the dead, and We record that which they send before (them), and their traces [their footsteps and walking on the earth with their legs to the mosques for the five compulsory congregational prayers, Jihad (holy fighting in Allah's Cause) and all other good and evil they did, and that which they leave behind], and all things We have recorded with numbers (as a record) in a Clear Book. 12
