3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah called for help. How blessed was the answer which he received. 75 And We rescued him and his household from the great calamity. 76 And made his progeny to endure (on this earth); 77 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations to come in later times: 78 Peace and salutation to Nuh among the nations. 79 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 80 He was one of Our believing servants. 81 Afterwards We drowned the others. 82 ۞ Abraham was one of his followers. 83 Behold! he approached his Lord with a sound heart. 84 and said to his father and his people: “Whom do you worship? 85 “What! You desire, through fabrication, Gods other than Allah?” 86 What then is your opinion of the Lord of the Worlds? 87 Then he cast a glance at the stars (to deceive them), 88 And he said: verily I am about to be sick. 89 But they went away from him, turning their backs. 90 Thereupon he approached their gods stealthily and said, "What! You do not eat [of the offerings placed before you]? 91 What is [wrong] with you that you do not speak?" 92 And he turned upon them striking them with the right hand. 93 Thereafter they (the people) came to him in haste. 94 "Why do you worship these you carve yourselves," he asked, 95 “Whereas Allah has created you and your actions?” 96 They exclaimed: "Build a pyre for him, and cast him into the blazing fire!" 97 Their desire was to outwit him, but We made them to be the humiliated. 98 And he said: Lo! I am going unto my Lord Who will guide me. 99 Lord, grant me a righteous son.” 100 So We gave him the good news of a clement son. 101 And when he became capable of working with him, Ibrahim said, “O my son, I dreamt that I am sacrificing you therefore now consider what is your opinion”; he said, “O my father! Do what you are commanded! Allah willing, you will soon find me patiently enduring!” 102 And when they had both submitted and he put him down upon his forehead, 103 We called out to him "O Abraham! 104 You have fulfilled the vision." Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 105 for, behold, all this was indeed a trial, clear in itself. 106 And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice, 107 and left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among later generations: 108 "Peace be upon Abraham!" 109 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 110 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the glad tidings of Ishaq, a Herald of the Hidden, from among those who deserve Our proximity. 112 We blessed him and Ishaque (Isaac), and of their progeny are (some) that do right, and some that plainly wrong themselves. 113
