Say: "Truly am I a Warner: no god is there but the one Allah, Supreme and Irresistible,- 65 Lord of the heavens and earth, and of what between them is, the All-mighty, the All-forgiving.' 66 Say: “This is a tiding of tremendous import 67 "From which you turn away! 68 (Tell them): “I had no knowledge of the High Council when they were disputing. 69 It is revealed unto me only that I may be a plain warner. 70 When your Lord said to the angels: 'I am creating a human from clay, 71 and when I have formed him fully and breathed My spirit into him, prostrate yourselves before him." 72 Then the angels bowed before him in a body, 73 Except Iblees; he was arrogant and became among the disbelievers. 74 Said Allah, “O Iblis! What prevented you from prostrating before one whom I have created with My hands*? Have you become proud or were you haughty from the beginning?” (Used as a metaphor). 75 Said Iblis, “I am better than him; You made me from fire, and You have created him from clay!” 76 'Begone' said He, 'you are stoned'. 77 And lo! My curse is on thee till the Day of Judgment. 78 Said [Iblis]: "Then, O my Sustainer, grant me a respite till the Day when all shall be raised from the dead!" 79 [Allah] said, "So indeed, you are of those reprieved 80 "Till the Day of the time appointed." 81 He said: "By Your authority, I will lead them astray, 82 Other than the chosen ones among Your creatures." 83 [And God] said: "This, then, is the truth! And this truth do I state: 84 that I shall certainly fill hell with you and your followers all together". 85 SAY [O Prophet]: "No reward whatever do I ask of you for this [message]; and I am not one of those who claim to be what they are not. 86 "This is no less than a Message to (all) the Worlds. 87 you shall before long know its truth." 88
