Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the winds sent forth with beneficence. 1 And the winds that blow violently 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 By those who winnow with a winnowing, 4 and by those who reveal revelations (to the prophets) 5 to provide excuses for some and to give warnings to others: 6 that whatever with which you have been warned will inevitably come to pass. 7 Thus, [it will come to pass] when the stars are effaced, 8 And when the sky is split apart. 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 and when all the apostles are called together at a time appointed... 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 For the Day of Judgement. 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier peoples? 16 We will now cause the later ones to follow them: 17 [for] thus do We deal with such as are lost in sin. 18 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 19 Did We not create you from a worthless water (semen, etc.)? 20 We then kept it in a safe place. 21 For a known period (determined by gestation)? 22 We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! 23 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 24 Did We not make the earth a receptacle, 25 For the living and the dead among you? 26 And placed therein high mountains and given you to drink sweet water therein? 27 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 28 Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected. 29 “Move towards the shadow of the smoke having three branches.” 30 "(Which yields) no shade of coolness, and is of no use against the fierce Blaze. 31 It will throw out sparks as logs of wood 32 "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." 33 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. 36 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 37 That will be the Day of Reckoning. Gathered will be (you) and the earlier (generations). 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 40
