Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

The emulous desire of abundance engrosseth you, 1 until you go down to your graves. 2 Nay, in time you will come to understand! 3 Again lo! presently ye shall know. 4 Nay, if you could but understand [it] with an understanding [born] of certainty, 5 You have indeed to behold Hell; 6 In the end you will indeed, most surely, behold it with the eye of certainty: 7 Then on that day you shall most certainly be questioned about the boons. 8

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
