And [mention] when your Lord called Moses, [saying], "Go to the wrongdoing people - 10 The people of Firon: Will they not guard (against evil)? 11 He said: "My Lord! Verily, I fear that they will belie me, 12 And I shall be embarrassed, and my tongue will not speak plainly, therefor send for Aaron (to help me). 13 “And they have an accusation against me, so I fear that they may kill me.” 14 Allah said: "By no means! proceed then, both of you, with Our Signs; We are with you, and will listen (to your call). 15 Go to Pharaoh and say, 'We are the messengers of the Lord of the worlds, 16 Let the children of Israel go with us!'" 17 Said Firaun, “Did we do not raise you amongst us, as a child? And you spent many years of your life among us!” 18 Yet you committed the deed you did, surely you are one of the ingrates." 19 He (Moses) replied: 'Indeed, I did that when I was among those who stray. 20 “I therefore went away from you as I feared you – so my Lord commanded me and appointed me as one of the Noble Messengers.” 21 That is a blessing thou reproachest me with, having enslaved the Children of Israel.' 22 Pharaoh said: And what is the Lord of the Worlds? 23 He said, 'The Lord of the heavens and earth, and what between them is, if you have faith.' 24 Pharaoh said to those around him, "Did you hear?" 25 Moses said: "(He is) Your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers of yore." 26 Said he, 'Surely your Messenger who was sent to you is possessed!' 27 [But Moses] went on: "[He of whom I speak is] the Sustainer of the east and the west and of all that is between the two - as you would know]" if you would but use your reason!" 28 Pharaoh said, "If you take any deity other than myself, I will throw you into prison," 29 Moses asked, "What if I were to bring you clear proof (of the existence of God)?" 30 Said Firaun, “Then bring it, if you are of the truthful.” 31 Then he cast down his staff, and lo! it was a serpent manifest. 32 And he drew forth his hand, and lo, it was white to the beholders. 33
