The people of Nooh denied the Noble Messengers. 105 when their brother Noah said unto them: "Will you not be conscious of God? 106 "I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 107 So keep your duty to Allah, and obey me. 108 "No reward do I ask of you for it: my reward is only from the Lord of the Worlds: 109 so fear you God, and obey you me.' 110 ۞ They said, “Shall we believe in you, whereas the abject people are with you?” 111 He said: 'I have no knowledge of what they have done. 112 Their reckoning rests with none but my Sustainer: if you could but understand [this]! 113 Hence, I shall not drive away [any of] those [who profess to be] believers; 114 I am only a plain admonisher." 115 Said they: "Indeed, if thou desist not, O Noah, thou wilt surely be stoned to death!" 116 He said: 'My Lord, my nation have belied me. 117 So adjudge between me and them conclusively, and save me and the believers who are with me." 118 And so We saved him and those [who were] with him in the fully-laden ark, 119 then afterwards We drowned the rest. 120 Most surely there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. 121 But surely your Lord is mighty and merciful. 122
