THUS, INDEED, did We bestow Our favour upon Moses and Aaron; 114 and saved them and their people from great distress. 115 And helped them, so that they became the victors; 116 and We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 and guided them in the straight path, 118 and preserved for them a good name among posterity. 119 Peace be unto Musa and Harun. 120 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 121 Indeed they are two of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 122 And Elias (El Yaseen) was among the Messengers. 123 When he said unto his folk: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 124 Will ye cry unto Baal and forsake the Best of creators, 125 Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your fathers of yore? 126 They called him a liar. Thus, all of them will suffer torment 127 Except the chosen slaves of Allah. 128 We perpetuated his praise in the later generations. 129 "Peace be upon Elijah and his followers!" 130 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 131 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 132 Lot too was one of the Envoys; 133 We saved him and all his people, 134 except for an old woman who stayed behind, 135 and then We utterly destroyed the others: 136 You pass by (their ruined town) in the morning 137 And at night. Then will you not use reason? 138
