The day the enemies of God will be gathered at the Fire and the records of their deeds will be distributed, 19 till when they are come to it, their hearing, their eyes and their skins bear witness against them concerning what they have been doing, 20 They will ask their skins: “Why did you bear witness against us?” The skins will reply: “Allah gave us speech, as He gave speech to all others. He it is Who created you for the first time and it is to Him that you will be sent back. 21 When you used to conceal yourselves (while committing misdeeds) you never thought that your ears or your eyes or your skins would ever bear witness against you; you rather fancied that Allah does not know a great deal of what you do. 22 And that was your (evil) thought which you entertained about your Lord that has tumbled you down into perdition, so are you become of the lost ones. 23 Then if they are patient, even then the fire is their home; and if they plead, none will listen to their pleading. 24 ۞ We have allotted them comrades, and they have decked out fair to them that which is before them and behind them. So against them has been realized the Word concerning nations that passed away before them, men and jinn alike; surely they were losers. 25
