The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By those [angels] who extract with violence 1 by the angels who gently release the souls of the believers, 2 by the angels who float (in the heavens by the will of God), 3 And those who race each other in a race 4 And who plan the implementation. 5 On the day when the trembling one will tremble. (The disbelievers will certainly taste the punishment.) 6 And the second followeth it, 7 hearts will throb on that Day 8 [and] their eyes downcast... 9 They shall say, 'What, are we being restored as we were before? 10 What, when we are bones old and wasted?' 11 [And] they add, "That, then, would be a return with loss!" 12 It will be only one scaring shout, 13 And lo! they all shall appear on the surface. 14 HAS THE STORY of Moses ever come within thy ken. 15 When his Lord called him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, 16 Saying: go thou unto Fir'awn; verily he hath waxen exorbitant. 17 And say (unto him): Hast thou (will) to grow (in grace)? 18 "'And that I guide thee to thy Lord, so thou shouldst fear Him?'" 19 Then Moses (went to Pharaoh and) showed him the Great Sign; 20 In response, he denied and disobeyed. 21 Then he turned away, deliberating, 22 And he summoned all his people, 23 And said, "I am your most exalted lord." 24 So Allah seized him (and made him) an example for the after (life) and for the former. 25 Indeed in this is a lesson for one who fears. 26
