We have made constellations in the sky and decorated them for the onlookers. 16 We have protected them from every condemned devil, 17 Except the ones who listen on the sly, yet they are chased away by a shooting flame. 18 And the earth-- We have spread it forth and made in it firm mountains and caused to grow in it of every suitable thing. 19 And We have appointed thereon for you livelihoods and also for those of whom ye are not the providers. 20 There is nothing except that its treasuries are with Us and We do not send it down except in a known measure. 21 And We sent the winds that relieve the clouds’ burden, therefore caused water to descend from the sky, then give it to you to drink; and you are not at all its treasurers. 22 And verily We! it is We who give life and death, and We shall be the survivors. 23 And We have already known the preceding [generations] among you, and We have already known the later [ones to come]. 24 and, behold, it is thy Sustainer who will gather them all together [on Judgment Day]: verily, He is Wise, All-Knowing! 25
