Say, [Prophet], "I am only a warner. There is no god but God, the One, the All-Powerful, 65 the Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is in between them, the Most Mighty, the Most Forgiving.” 66 Say: "This is a momentous message, 67 To which you pay no heed. 68 "No knowledge have I of the Chiefs on high, when they discuss (matters) among themselves. 69 It is revealed unto me only that I may be a plain warner. 70 When your Lord said to the angels: "I am going to create a man from clay; 71 So when I have made him complete and breathed into him of My spirit, then fall down making obeisance to him. 72 So all the angels prostrated themselves 73 save Iblis: he gloried in his arrogance, and [thus] became one of those who deny the truth. 74 Said He, 'Iblis, what prevented thee to bow thyself before that I created with My own hands? Hast thou waxed proud, or art thou of the lofty ones?' 75 He said: I am better than he: me Thou hast created of fire, and him Thou hast created of clay. 76 Allah said: get thee forth therefrom; verily thou art driven away. 77 And indeed, upon you is My curse until the Day of Recompense." 78 He said: my Lord! respite me till the Day whereon they are raised up. 79 Allah said: verily, thou art of those respited. 80 Until the day of the time appointed. 81 Said he, 'Now, by Thy glory, I shall pervert them all together, 82 "Except Thy Servants amongst them, sincere and purified (by Thy Grace)." 83 [Allah] said, "The truth [is My oath], and the truth I say - 84 I will certainly fill the Gehenna with you and with all those among them who follow you.” 85 Say: "I do not ask any compensation of you for it, nor am I a specious pretender. 86 "This is no less than a Message to (all) the Worlds. 87 And ye will come in time to know the truth thereof. 88
