Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the winds sent forth in swift succession, 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 Consider these [messages] that spread [the truth] far and wide, 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 and by those who reveal revelations (to the prophets) 5 To excuse or to warn, 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 So when the stars are put out, 8 and the sky is rent asunder, 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 one will be told, "To the Day of Distinction". 13 And what do you know, what the Day of Decision is! 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients 16 We will now cause the later ones to follow them: 17 Thus do We deal with the sinful ones. 18 On that day, woe upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 19 Did We not create you from a weak water, 20 Which We placed in a depository safe. 21 For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)? 22 So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 The living and the dead, 26 And placed therein high mountains and given you to drink sweet water therein? 27 On that Day (of Judgment) woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 28 Depart to that you cried was lies! 29 Proceed to a shadow [of smoke] having three columns 30 Neither having the coolness of the shade nor availing against the flame. 31 Indeed hell throws up sparks like huge castles. 32 as black camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 neither be given leave, and excuse themselves. 36 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have brought you and the men of old together. 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 40
