T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ O MAN! 1 We have not revealed unto thee (Muhammad) this Qur'an that thou shouldst be distressed, 2 But as admonition for him who fears -- 3 A revelation from He who created the earth and highest heavens, 4 the Most Gracious, established on the throne of His almightiness? 5 His is whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever on the earth and whatsoever is in between and whatsoever is underneath the earth. 6 If thou pronounce the word aloud, (it is no matter): for verily He knoweth what is secret and what is yet more hidden. 7 God -- there is no god but He. To Him belong the Names Most Beautiful. 8 Has the story of Moses reached you? 9 Recall what time he saw a fire and said to his household, bide ye! verily I have perceived a fire! haply I may bring you from it a brand or may find at the fire a guidance. 10 When he came to it, a voice cried, 'Moses, 11 Verily I! I am thy Lord: so take off thy shoes; verily thou art into the holy valley, Tuwa. 12 I have chosen you. Therefore, listen to what shall be revealed. 13 I Am the only God. Worship Me and be steadfast in prayer to have My name always in your mind. 14 "Behold, [although] I have willed to keep it hidden, the Last Hour is bound to come, so that every human being may be recompensed in accordance with what he strove for [in life]. 15 Let not the unbelievers who follow their vain desires make you forget the Day of Judgment, lest you will perish." 16 "What do you have in your right hand, Moses?" 17 "It's my staff," he answered; "I lean on it, and fell leaves for my goats with it, and I have other uses for it." 18 He said, “Put it down, O Moosa! 19 He threw it, and behold! It was a snake, active in motion. 20 [Allah] said, "Seize it and fear not; We will return it to its former condition. 21 Now, put your hand under your armpit. It shall come out white, without evil, a second sign. 22 This We have done to show you some of Our greater miracles. 23 Go thou unto Pharaoh! Lo! he hath transgressed (the bounds). 24
