The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
When the sun is folded up, 1 And when the stars darken, 2 The mountains made to move, 3 And when the she-camels big with young shall be abandoned, 4 And when the wild beasts shall be gathered together, 5 And when the seas rise, 6 And when the souls are paired. 7 when the buried female infant is asked 8 For what sin she was killed? 9 And when the pages are made public 10 when heaven shall be stripped off; 11 And when Hellfire is set ablaze 12 and Paradise brought nigh: 13 Every soul will then come know what it has brought. 14 Rather, I swear by the returning 15 Who move straight and stop. 16 and the night that falls, 17 And the morning when it brightens, 18 Verily it is a Word brought by a messenger honoured, 19 Endued with Power, with rank before the Lord of the Throne, 20 The one who is obeyed, and trustworthy. (Other angels obey angel Jibreel). 21 And (O people!) your companion is not one possessed; 22 he truly beheld [the angel - beheld] him on the clear horizon; 23 Nor of the unseen is he a tenacious concealer. 24 The Quran is not the word of condemned satan. 25 Whither then will you go? 26 Verily this is no less than a Message to (all) the Worlds: 27 To whomsoever among you who wills to walk straight, 28 but will you shall not, unless God wills, the Lord of all Being. 29
