The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Recite in the name of your Lord Who created, 1 He created man from a clot of blood. 2 Read! Your Lord is the Most Generous, 3 who has taught [man] the use of the pen 4 Hath taught man that which he knew not. 5 And yet, but yet man is rebellious, 6 Because he considers himself self-sufficient. 7 However, (all things) will return to your Lord. 8 What thinkest thou? He who forbids 9 A bondman when he offers the prayer? 10 Tell me, if he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) is on the guidance (of Allah)? 11 or bade to godfearing -- 12 What is your opinion – if he denies and turns away, how wretched will be his state! 13 Did he not know that God sees? 14 Nay! If he (Abu Jahl) ceases not, We will catch him by the forelock, 15 his lying, sinful forelock. 16 So let him now call his gang! 17 and We too will call the stern and angry keepers of hell. 18 No! Do not obey him. But prostrate and draw near [to Allah]. ۩ 19
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
