Remember Our votary Job because he called to his Lord: "Satan has afflicted me with disease and distress." 41 Urge with your foot; here is a cool washing-place and a drink. 42 And We granted to him his family and also the like of them, as a mercy from Us, and as a reminder to people of understanding, 43 and, 'Take in thy hand a bundle of rushes, and strike therewith, and do not fail in thy oath.' Surely We found him a steadfast man. How excellent a servant he was! He was a penitent. 44 And remember thou Our bondmen, Ibrahim and Is-haq and Ya'qub, owners of might and insight. 45 Lo! We purified them with a pure thought, remembrance of the Home (of the Hereafter). 46 And behold, in Our sight they were indeed among the elect, the truly good! 47 And commemorate Isma'il, Elisha, and Zul-Kifl: Each of them was of the Company of the Good. 48 This is a Reminder, and verily, for the Muttaqun (pious and righteous persons - see V. 2:2) is a good final return (Paradise), 49 The gardens of perpetuity, the doors are opened for them. 50 They will be comfortably seated; reclining, they will call for abundant fruit and drink; 51 ۞ And beside them will be chaste women restraining their glances, (companions) of equal age. 52 All this is what you are promised for the Day of Judgement. 53 Indeed, this is Our provision; for it there is no depletion. 54 This [is so]. But indeed, for the transgressors is an evil place of return - 55 Hell! Where they will burn, and worst (indeed) is that place to rest! 56 (They will be told), "This is your recompense. 57 And other torments, like thereof, conjoined. 58 [And they will say to one another: "Do you see] this crowd of people rushing headlong to join you?" "No welcome to them! Indeed, they are headed for the fire!" 59 Their followers will say, "In fact, it is you who deserve condemnation. It was you who led us to hell, a terrible dwelling". 60 They say, “Our Lord! Whoever has brought this calamity upon us – double the punishment of the fire for him!” 61 And they say: What aileth us that we behold not men whom we were wont to count among the wicked? 62 Is it that we mistakenly made fun of them; or have they disappeared from our sight?” 63 Verily this is the very truth: the wrangling of the fellows of the Fire! 64
