The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the heaven adorned with big stars. 1 by the promised day, 2 And the bearer of witness and those against whom the witness is borne. 3 That accursed are the men of the trench 4 the fire abounding in fuel, 5 when they were seated over it 6 and they were witnesses of what they did to the believers 7 And what did they dislike from the Muslims, except that the Muslims accepted faith in Allah the Most Honourable, the Most Praiseworthy? 8 Who, to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth! And Allah is Witness over everything. 9 Indeed, those who have tortured the believing men and believing women and then have not repented will have the punishment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the Burning Fire. 10 As for the righteously striving believers, they will live in Paradise wherein streams flow. This is the greatest triumph. 11 Verily the grip of thine Lord is severe. 12 Lo! He it is Who produceth, then reproduceth, 13 And He is the Fogiving, the Loving, 14 The Lord of the glorious Throne, 15 He does what He intends (or wills). 16 Has the story reached you of the hosts, 17 Of Pharaoh and Thamud come to you? 18 Nay! those who disbelieve are in (the act of) giving the lie to the truth. 19 However, God encompassed their activities. 20 Nay; but this is a glorious Qur'an, 21 In the Preserved Tablet. 22
