The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

Woe to every (kind of) scandal-monger and-backbiter, 1 who collects and hordes wealth, 2 Does he think that his wealth will prolong his stay on earth forever? 3 By no means! They will be thrown into hutamah. 4 And what will explain to thee That which Breaks to Pieces? 5 (It is) the kindled Fire of Allah, 6 Which rises above the hearts. 7 verily, it will close in upon them 8 In extended columns. 9
