Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ No! I swear by the Day of Resurrection. 1 and by the self-reproaching soul! 2 Does man imagine that We will not be able to bring his bones together again? 3 Yea, verily. We are Able to restore his very fingers! 4 Yet man is sceptical of what is right before him. 5 He asks: When is the day of resurrection? 6 At length, when the sight is dazed, 7 The moon eclipsed, 8 when the sun and moon are gathered together 9 That Day will Man say: "Where is the refuge?" 10 No! There is no refuge! 11 On that day, the station is only towards your Lord. 12 Man shall on that day be informed of what he sent before and (what he) put off. 13 Indeed, man shall be a witness against himself, 14 Though he puts forth his excuses. 15 Do not move your tongue with it to make haste with it, 16 It's gathering and reciting is upon Us. 17 And when We have recited it to you [O Muhammad SAW through Jibrael (Gabriel)], then follow you its (the Quran's) recital. 18 The exposition of its meaning surely rests on Us. 19 But no. You love this transient life, 20 and are heedless of the Everlasting Life. 21 Some faces, that Day, will beam (in brightness and beauty);- 22 gazing towards their Lord. 23 and some faces on that Day will be gloomy, 24 Fearing that a great disaster is going to befall them. 25 Nay, but when the life cometh up to the throat 26 and people ask, "Is there any wizard [that could save him]?" 27 And he is sure that it is the (hour of) parting 28 And leg will be joined with another leg (shrouded) 29 upon that Day the driving shall be to your Lord. 30
