The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
I swear by the mansions of the stars, 1 by the promised day, 2 And by the Day witnessing and the Day witnessed, 3 Cursed were the companions of the trench 4 the fire abounding in fuel, 5 They sat by it 6 and they were witnesses of what they did to the believers 7 and their revenge on them was only because they believed in Allah, the Almighty, the Praised, 8 Him to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth! And Allah is Witness to all things. 9 Those who persecute the believing men and believing women, and then do not repent, will surely suffer the punishment of Hell, and the torment of burning. 10 [But,] verily, they who attain to faith and do righteous deeds shall [in the life to come] have gardens through which running waters flow - that triumph most great! 11 Truly strong is the Grip (and Power) of thy Lord. 12 It is He who originates and repeats. 13 And He alone is truly-forgiving, all-embracing in His love, 14 Master of the Honourable Throne. 15 The Doer of whatever He wants. 16 Did the story of the armies reach you? 17 Pharaoh and Thamood? 18 And yet, they who are bent on denying the truth persist in giving it the lie: 19 But Allah doth encompass them from behind! 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Koran, 21 written on a preserved Tablet. 22
