The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Blissful are the believers 1 those who, in their Prayers, humble themselves; 2 who avoid whatever is vain and frivolous; 3 those who pay the zakat; 4 And they who guard their private parts 5 Except from their wives or the legal bondwomen that they possess, for then there is no blame upon them. 6 And whosoever seeketh beyond that, then it is these who are the transgressors 7 And those who are keepers of their trusts and their covenant, 8 And who (strictly) guard their prayers;- 9 These are indeed the inheritors. 10 These are the heirs of Paradise wherein they will live forever. 11 We created man from an essence of clay, 12 Then We placed him as a sperm in a firmly established lodging; 13 Then We made the seed a clot, then We made the clot a lump of flesh, then We made (in) the lump of flesh bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, then We caused it to grow into another creation, so blessed be Allah, the best of the creators. 14 And then you will certainly die, 15 Then you will be raised up again on the Resurrection Day. 16 We made several highways one over the other above you. We are not neglectful of creation. 17 And We have sent down rain from the sky in a measured amount and settled it in the earth. And indeed, We are Able to take it away. 18 And We brought forth for you thereby gardens of palm trees and grapevines in which for you are abundant fruits and from which you eat. 19 The tree that grows on Mount Sinai yields oil and seasoning for those who eat. 20 There are lessons for you in the cattle from whose bellies We give you milk to drink, and there are other advantages that you derive from them, and some of them you eat; 21 And on them and on the ships you are borne. 22
