We built the heaven with might, and We widely extended it. 47 And We made the earth a base, so how well do We lay out! 48 And of every thing We have created pairs, that haply ye may remember. 49 And so, [O Muhammad, say unto them:] "Flee unto God [from all that is false and evil]! Verily, I am a plain warner to you from Him! 50 And set not any other god along with Allah; lo! I am a plain warner unto you from Him. 51 Likewise, no Messenger came to those before them, but they said: "A sorcerer or a madman!" 52 Is this the legacy they have transmitted, one to another? Nay, they are themselves a people transgressing beyond bounds! 53 So turn away thou from them, not thou art blameworthy. 54 Keep on reminding them. This benefits the believers. 55 I have not created mankind and jinn except to worship Me. 56 I do not ask any sustenance from them, nor wish that they give Me food. 57 Surely Allah is the Bestower of sustenance, the Lord of Power, the Strong. 58 And verily, for those who do wrong, there is a portion of torment like to the evil portion of torment (which came for) their likes (of old), so let them not ask Me to hasten on! 59 For, woe unto those who are bent on denying the truth - [woe] on the Day which they have been promised 60
