Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Nay! I swear by the day of resurrection. 1 No! I swear by the reproachful soul. 2 Does man think that We cannot [resurrect him and] bring his bones together again? 3 We certainly have the power to restore them even the very tips of their finger. 4 But man wishes to do wrong (even) in the time in front of him. 5 He asketh: when will the Day of Resurrection be? 6 but when the sight is dazed 7 And the moon is eclipsed 8 and the sun and moon are brought together, 9 That day man will say: "Where can I find escape?" 10 Alas! No refuge! 11 unto thy Lord that Day is the recourse. 12 On that Day man will be informed of what he sent forward (of his evil or good deeds), and what he left behind (of his good or evil traditions). 13 Indeed, man shall be a witness against himself, 14 even though they make excuses. 15 Move not thy tongue with it to hasten it; 16 Surely it is for Us to have you commit it to memory and to recite it. 17 When We recite it, follow its recitation. 18 The exposition of its meaning surely rests on Us. 19 Nay, but ye do love the fleeting Now 20 And you have forsaken the Hereafter. 21 [Some] faces, that Day, will be radiant, 22 looking towards their Lord; 23 And how many faces on that Day will be woe-begone 24 Thou wilt know that some great disaster is about to fall on them. 25 No! When the soul has reached the collar bones 26 And it is cried. who can charm? 27 And he is sure that it is the (hour of) parting 28 When legs are twisted around each other, 29 On that day, the herding will be only towards your Lord. 30
