The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By those that pluck out vehemently 1 And [by] those who remove with ease 2 And those who glide swimmingly, 3 By the angels hastening, 4 and by those who regulate events. 5 The day the convulsive first blast shatters convulsively 6 and the second blast follows it, 7 On that day hearts beat painfully 8 while eyes will be downcast. 9 They say: "Shall we go back to our original state 10 What, when we are bones old and wasted?' 11 They say: that then shall be a losing return. 12 Surely it will need but one shout, 13 and behold! They will all come out in the open. 14 Has there come to you the story of Musa (Moses)? 15 When his Lord called to him in the holy valley, Towa: 16 Saying: go thou unto Fir'awn; verily he hath waxen exorbitant. 17 and say: "Will you purify yourself, 18 that I may direct you to your Lord and then you hold Him in awe?'” 19 Moses showed him the great miracle 20 But he rejected (the truth) and disobeyed. 21 Then he went back hastily. 22 Then he collected (his men) and made a proclamation, 23 “I am the supreme lord of you all.” 24 you pay attention 25 surely there is in this a lesson for the God-fearing. 26
