The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the heaven, holding the big stars. 1 and [then bethink thyself of] the promised Day, 2 And by oath of the day that is a witness and by oath of a day in which the people present themselves. 3 may the people be condemned those who tortured (the believers) in ditches 4 of fire fiercely burning [for all who have attained to faith]! 5 while they themselves sat around it 6 and were witnessing what they did to the believers. 7 and their revenge on them was only because they believed in Allah, the Almighty, the Praised, 8 Him unto Whom belongeth the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is of all things the Witness. 9 Indeed, those who have tortured the believing men and believing women and then have not repented will have the punishment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the Burning Fire. 10 Verily, those who believe and do righteous good deeds, for them will be Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise). That is the great success. 11 The vengeance of God is terribly severe. 12 It is He who creates all things and causes them to return. 13 and He is the All-forgiving, the All-loving, 14 Lord of the Throne of Glory, 15 Doer of what He will. 16 Have you not heard about the stories of the armies 17 Of Pharaoh and Thamud come to you? 18 And yet the Unbelievers (persist) in rejecting (the Truth)! 19 And Allah encompasses them from behind! (i.e. all their deeds are within His Knowledge, and He will requite them for their deeds). 20 Nay! it is a glorious Quran, 21 in a guarded tablet. 22
