The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Read with the name of your Lord Who created, 1 Createth man from a clot. 2 Read - for thy Sustainer is the Most Bountiful One 3 Who has taught (the writing) by the pen [the first person to write was Prophet Idrees (Enoch)]. 4 taught man what he did not know. 5 Nay, verily, man becomes grossly overweening 6 As he considers himself independent! 7 Surely your returning is to your Lord. 8 Have you seen the one who forbids 9 A servant when he prays? 10 Seest thou if he is on (the road of) Guidance?- 11 Or enjoins Righteousness? 12 Bethinkest thou, if he belieth and turneth away? 13 Does he not know that Allah does see? 14 No! If he does not desist, We will surely drag him by the forelock - 15 by the lying forelock steeped in sin. 16 So let him now call his gang! 17 and We too will call the stern and angry keepers of hell. 18 No, not at all. Never obey him. But prostrate yourself and become nigh (to your Lord). ۩ 19
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
