The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
I swear by the runners breathing pantingly, 1 by the strikers of fire, 2 then raid by the dawn, 3 Stirring up thereby [clouds of] dust, 4 cleaving there with a host! 5 Most surely man is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 And lo! he is a witness unto that; 7 And violent is he in his love of wealth. 8 ۞ Is he not aware of the time when the contents of the graves will be brought out? 9 and that which is in the chest is brought out, 10 indeed, on that Day their Lord will be aware of them! 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
