The Key (Al-Faatehah)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir) before Thorns (Al-Masad)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful 1

Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds, 2 Most beneficent, ever-merciful, 3 Sovereign of the Day of Recompense. 4 Thee (alone) we worship; Thee (alone) we ask for help. 5 Keep us on the right path. 6 the path of those to whom You have granted blessings, those who are neither subject to Your anger nor have gone astray. 7

True are the words of God the Almighty.
