Is it not clear to those who inherit the earth after its (former) residents that if We please We would afflict them on account of their faults and set a seal on their hearts so they would not hear. 100 Those cities We relate to thee tidings of; their Messengers came to them with the clear signs, but they were not the ones to believe in that they had cried lies before; so God seals the hearts of the unbelievers. 101 And We found most of them not true to their words; and indeed We found most of them disobedient. 102 After those We sent forth Moses with Our signs to Pharaoh and his assembly, but with it they harmed. Look at the end of the corrupters. 103 Moses said: 'Pharaoh, I am a Messenger from the Lord of the Worlds, 104 "I am duty bound to speak nothing of God but the truth I have brought from your Lord a clear sign; so let the people of Israel depart with me." 105 The Pharaoh asked Moses to show his miracles if he was telling the truth. 106 So Moses threw down his staff and suddenly it turned into a real serpent. 107 And he drew forth his hand, when lo: it was white unto the beholders. 108
