The people of Noah gave the lie to the Messengers. 105 span class="col">Their brother Noah asked them, "Why do you not fear God? 106 Lo! I am a faithful messenger unto you, 107 fear God, and obey me. 108 "And no reward whatever do I ask of you for it: my reward rests with none but the Sustainer of all the worlds. 109 so fear God and obey me." 110 ۞ They said: shall We believe in thee when the meanest follow thee? 111 (Noah) said, "I have no knowledge of their deeds. 112 Their account is only upon my Lord, if you [could] perceive. 113 "And I am not going to drive away the believers. 114 I am only a plain warner." 115 They said: "If you cease not, O Nuh (Noah)! You will surely be among those stoned (to death)." 116 He said: "My Lord! Verily, my people have belied me. 117 Then judge between me and them with decisive judgement and save me and those with me of the believers." 118 So We delivered him, and those with him, in the laden ship, 119 Thereafter We drowned those who remained behind. 120 Verily there is a sign in this, yet many of them do not believe. 121 And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful. 122
