Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Ya-Sin. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Quran, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings.] 1 By the Wise Koran, 2 Verily thou art of the sent ones, 3 On a Straight Path (i.e. on Allah's religion of Islamic Monotheism). 4 (The Qur’an is) Sent down by the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 5 that thou mayest warn a people whose fathers were never warned, so they are heedless. 6 Already hath the judgment, (for their infidelity) proved true of most of them, for they believe not. 7 Indeed, We have put shackles on their necks, and they are to their chins, so they are with heads [kept] aloft. 8 We have set a barrier before them and a barrier behind them, and, We have covered them so that they do not see. 9 Whether you warn them or do not warn, it is all the same; they will not believe. 10 You can warn only him who follows the Admonition and fears the Merciful Lord without seeing Him. Give such a one good tidings of forgiveness and a generous reward. 11 Surely We give life to the dead, and We write down what they have sent before and their footprints, and We have recorded everything in a clear writing. 12
