Q (Qaaf)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Qaf. By the Glorious Qur'an, 1 Indeed, they are astonished that a warner should have come to them from among themselves. So these deniers of the truth say, "This is indeed a strange thing, 2 What, when we are dead and turned to dust? That indeed would be an unlikely return' 3 We already know how much of them (of their bodies) the earth will consume. With Us there is a Book that contains all records. 4 But they denied the truth when it came to them, so they are in a confused condition. 5 Have they not looked at the sky above them, how We have fashioned and adorned it, and it has no flaw? 6 and We have spread out the earth, and have set upon it firm mountains, and have caused it to bring out plants of all beauteous kinds? 7 An insight and an admonition for every bondman penitent. 8 And We sent down out of heaven water blessed, and caused to grow thereby gardens and grain of harvest 9 and tall palm-trees with their thickly-clustered dates, 10 As sustenance for the bondmen; and with it We revived a dead city; this is how you will be raised. 11 Before these, the people of Nooh had denied, and so did the dwellers of Rass and the Thamud. 12 and Aad, Pharaoh and the brothers of Lot, 13 And the dwellers of the grove and the people of Tuba; all rejected the apostles, so My threat came to pass. 14 Did We fail to accomplish the first creation? Of course, We did not; We have all power over all things. Yet they are confused about a new creation. 15
