The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

(I swear) by the snorting chargers (of the warriors), whose hoofs strike against the rocks 1 Then those striking sparks of fire, 2 then raid by the dawn, 3 raising a trail of dust, 4 and penetrate deep into a host. 5 That man is ungrateful to his Lord 6 And indeed, he is to that a witness. 7 And indeed he is, in love of wealth, intense. 8 ۞ Does he not then know when what is in the graves is raised, 9 And the hearts' contents shall be brought into the open? 10 Verily their Lord on that Day will be of them Aware. 11

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
