Verily We bestowed Our favours on Moses and Aaron 114 And We saved them and their people from the great distress; 115 And We helped them, so they were victorious. 116 And We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 And showed them the right path. 118 and left for them among the later folk 119 "Peace upon Moses and Aaron." 120 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 121 Surely both of them were among Our believing servants. 122 And Ilyas was most surely of the apostles. 123 (Call to mind) when he said to his people: “Will you not fear Allah? 124 Would you call on Baal and leave the best of creators, 125 “Allah Who is your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?” 126 But they rejected him, and they will certainly be called up (for punishment),- 127 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 128 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 129 Peace be on Elias. 130 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers, who perform good deeds totally for Allah's sake only - see V. 2:112). 131 Verily he was one of Our bondmen believing. 132 And verily, Lout (Lot) was one of the Messengers. 133 [and so,] when [We decreed the doom of his sinful town,] We saved him and his household, 134 except an old woman who lingered, 135 and We destroyed the others. 136 And lo! ye verily pass by (the ruin of) them in the morning 137 And at night. Will ye not therefore reflect? 138
