The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I swear by the runners breathing pantingly, 1 striking sparks of fire with their hooves, 2 And by oath of those who raid at dawn. 3 blazing a trail of dust, 4 Penetrating deep into the armies, 5 Truly man is, to his Lord, ungrateful; 6 And indeed he himself is a witness to it. 7 And verily, he is violent in the love of wealth. 8 ۞ Knoweth he not - when that which is in the graves shall be ransacked? 9 and that which is in the chest is brought out, 10 Most surely their Lord that day shall be fully aware of them. 11
