Kneeling (Al-Jaatheyah)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Ha-Mim. 1 This Scripture is sent down from God, the Mighty and Wise One. 2 There are signs in the heavens and the earth for those who believe: 3 In your creation and in that of the beasts living on earth there is evidence of the Truth for the people who have strong faith. 4 And the difference of night and day and the provision that Allah sendeth down from the sky and thereby quickeneth the earth after her death, and the ordering of the winds, are portents for a people who have sense. 5 Such are the verses of Allah. We recite them to you in truth. So in what speech, after Allah and His signs, will they believe? 6 Woe to every sinful liar, 7 He hears the revelations of God which are recited to him, then persists in his arrogance as if he had not even heard them. Tell him that he will suffer a painful torment. 8 And when he learns something of Our Verses (this Quran), he makes them a jest. For such there will be a humiliating torment. 9 Behind them Gehenna; and that they have earned shall not avail them aught, nor those they took as protectors, apart from God; for them awaits a mighty chastisement. 10 Such is Our guidance; those who reject their Lord's revelations shall suffer a woeful punishment. 11
