Therefore, remind and preach (mankind, O Muhammad SAW of Islamic Monotheism). By the Grace of Allah, you are neither a soothsayer, nor a madman. 29 Or do they say: “He is a poet for whom we await an adverse turn of fortune.” 30 say [to them], "Wait then: I too am waiting along with you!" -- 31 Does their reasoning prompt them to this, or they are a people rebellious? 32 Or do they say, 'He has invented it?' Nay, but they do not believe. 33 Let them produce a phrase like it, if what they say is true! 34 Or were they created out of naught? Or are they the creators? 35 Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Rather, they are not certain. 36 Do they possess the treasures of your Lord? Or are they the treasurers? 37 Have they a stairway whereby they overhear? Then let their listener bring an authority manifest. 38 Or has He daughters, and they sons? 39 Or askest thou a hire from them so that they are with debt laden? 40 Is with them the Unseen, and they write it down! 41 Or do they want to entrap [thee in contradictions]? But they who are bent on denying the truth - it is they who are truly entrapped! 42 Or have they a god other than Allah? Exalted is Allah far above the things they associate with Him! 43 Even if they were to see a part of the heavens falling down upon them, they would say, "It is only dense cloud". 44 So leave them alone until they encounter that Day of theirs, wherein they shall (perforce) swoon (with terror),- 45 the day when their guile shall avail them naught, and they shall not be helped. 46 Truly, for those who do wrong there is a punishment besides that, though most of them do not know it. 47 So wait patiently (O Muhammad) for thy Lord's decree, for surely thou art in Our sight; and hymn the praise of thy Lord when thou uprisest, 48 And glorify Him in the night and when the stars begin to wane. 49
